- Warm olive and gray-brown patina on surfaces that display sharp detail in most areas despite the fact that little to no border denticulation is present on either side. A few marks over and around Washington portrait are noted, as is a small spot in the right reverse field inside the upright of the final letter E in PEACE. The reverse is also lightly marked, especially at lower left. Frosty and generally tight even though minor planchet voids drift through the obverse field, none of which are readily during in-hand viewing. Scarce, since most Large Buttons Grate halfpennies have a reeded edge.
