Lot Description

This one-year design type from the initial year of coinage for the popular Indian cent series is a strong performer in all Mint State grades. As an upper end, premium quality Gem the offered example makes a lovely impression in all regards. The surfaces are highly lustrous with a satin to softly frosted texture. Predominantly pinkish-tan in color, wisps of warmer rose-orange tinting drift over both sides and find greatest expression over the upper third of the reverse. Near-fully struck and expertly preserved, only the strongest bids will be competitive for this gorgeous piece.
