- Bert Davies Collection. A rather well struck example of this key to the series, neither side displays the contrast sometimes seen for 1879-CC, suggesting mature dies that produced pleasing luster and nice mint frost instead. Wispy abrasions on the cheek, as usual, are joined by a few stray field abrasions that culminate in the proper grade assignment.
