""1788"" Machin's Mills Halfpenny. Vlack-23-88A, W-8100. URS-11. EF-45 (PCGS). Dark brown, with hard, somewhat glossy surfaces that are about average for this Machin's Mills variety that is often found sharply struck and attractive, as here. It is interesting to note that the obverse of a newly discovered 1787-dated Machin's Mills variety shares the triangular ribbon bow style as seen on the 23-88A.
