Lot Description

1841-O Liberty Seated Quarter. Briggs 1-B. MS-63 (NGC). An attractive Select Mint State specimen, with pale ivory-gold and mint-green toning. Softly struck on Liberty's head and on the eagle's left (facing) leg, talons, and arrow fletchings. The surfaces betray smooth, satin luster and a few wispy, superficial field marks. This New Orleans Mint issue is not often seen in Uncirculated condition, despite a somewhat hefty original mintage of 452,000 coins. Census: 10; 7 finer. PCGS# 5400. Census: 10; 7 finer.
