Two overdates exist in 1812, O-101 which has a Large 8 in the date (Rarity-5), and the Small 8, O-102 which is much more common. A decent example for the variety, with light dove and tan patination. We note a single scratch on Liberty’s drapery that blends rather well with the details. PCGS 37, NGC 14. The last one to sell in auction realized $646 back in January 2015 and we feel the CU value of $450 is somewhat low. A popular overdate that we think will see some considerable bidding.
