Lot Description

1889 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-64 (PCGS). This smartly impressed lilac-gray half dollar is one of 711 Proofs of the date produced. The initial gunmetal complexion reveals a faint champagne and rose-gold iridescence when held at a tilt. A stark contrast is apparent between the glassy fields and satiny devices, both remaining largely untroubled under scrutiny. A thoroughly attractive representative of this Proof issue.
