Lot Description

A nice collector grade example for the type, one that can be quite costly at higher levels. Here we note moderate, yet generally even wear with the only significant lack of detail confined to the upper left reverse periphery, where the lettering is no longer discernible. All other major design elements are clear, and the appearance is pleasingly original in a blend of medium brassy-gold and olive-brown. With no marks or other blemishes of note, one would be hard pressed to find a nicer, more visually appealing Rhode Island Ship medal at the certified VF grade levels.
