- Lot Description
- 1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 4-L, W-2810. Rarity-2. Mailed Bust Left, Horned Bust. EF-40 (PCGS).
111.0 grains. Common and choice, with glossy light brown surfaces and ideal visual appeal. Nicely centered, only shallow flecky planchet striations visible on the obverse. Obverse die clashed, horn fully tumescent, not quite as advanced as Ford:288 but on its way. Its status as one of the easiest Connecticuts to find nice takes nothing away from the niceness of this one.
PCGS# 364.
Provenance: From the John "Jack" Royse Collection.
