Lot Description

Maybe, Maybe Not Collection. Overton-115 (R.5) can be identified by the first star piercing the curl, and some die chips between it and the neighboring rim, while on the reverse, AM practically touch, and the point of a leaf merges with the bottom of "D" in UNITED. Perhaps for provenance purposes, this particular example has a bit of defective planchet quality beneath the eagle's beak and extending into his right (observed) wing. On balance, generally pleasing if slightly brilliantish grey predominates, encircled by bands of lovely album toning, more emphasized on the obverse.
