An absolute and condition scarcity among early date CC-Mint Morgan dollars. The 1879-CC is not only more challenging to locate than the other Carson City Mint issues of the 1878 to 1885 era, but it is one of the most challenging Morgans from any mint to locate with minimally abraded surfaces. Offered is an uncommonly attractive MS-63 with only light, minimally distracting marks to define the grade. Luster is full and satiny, the otherwise brilliant complexion enhanced by pretty powder blue and reddish-gold peripheral highlights. An attractive offering for the astute collector, this piece offers desirable Choice Mint State quality without having to advance to the MS-64 level.
