1870 Round 25 Cents. BG-807. Rarity-7-. Liberty Head. MS-63 (NGC). Warm honey-gold color to both sides, the surfaces are boldly defined in most areas with a pleasingly smooth, soft satin texture throughout. An elusive variety, the Bob Leonard census published in the 2003 edition of the Breen-Gillio reference on California small denomination gold coinage lists only 14 examples of BG-807, which total probably includes duplication.
