Lot Description
1914-S Barber Half Dollar. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. Dusted with iridescent golden-champagne toning, the surfaces are generally pristine with intense mint luster overall. Fully struck in all but a few isolated areas. Despite a considerably higher mintage (992,000 vs. 604,000 pieces), the 1914-S is just as scarce as the 1913-S in the finer Mint State grades and almost equal in high grade scarcity to the more renowned 1915. A highlight of the late date Barber half dollar offerings from the Abigail Collection. Provenance: From the Abigail Collection, Part III. CAC Population: 7; 15.
