- 1891 Liberty Quarter Eagle. MS-67 (PCGS). CAC. OGH. A scarce, low-mintage issue with just 10,960 pieces produced, the business strike 1891 is also a conditionally challenging Quarter Eagle. When offered in today's market at all, the 1891 typically grades no finer than MS-64, through which levels it is actually priced at little more than a type coin. Gems in MS-65 are rare, there are no MS-66s listed at PCGS and the present Superb Gem ranks as the single finest-certified example at both of the leading grading services (PCGS and NGC).<br /> Simply exquisite in all regards, both sides of this coin are silky smooth in sheen with not even a single trivial distraction.
