- 1832 Matron Head Cent. N-1. Rarity-2. Medium Letters. MS-63 BN (NGC). CAC.
A lustrous example toned in chocolate brown shades and steel blue accents throughout. The surfaces are impressively clean and free of friction, with just a trivial pinscratch at Liberty's throat to preclude a higher numeric grade. The obverse is aligned toward 6 o'clock while the reverse is aligned to 10 o'clock, resulting in trimmed denticles at each border. Moderate fatigue is visible in the peripheries equivalent to Noyes Die State B/C.
Provenance: From the Paradise Collection. Earlier ex Heritage's sale of April 2017, lot 3078.
NGC Census: 5; 18 finer.
PCGS# 1687. NGC ID: 225N.
