Lot Description

1856-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-104. Repunched 6. MS-63+ (NGC). Fully brilliant with strong luster throughout and just a hint of peripheral toning on the extreme edge just curling over into the dentils. The strike is decent for a New Orleans coin, with trace softness on the arrow feathers and the left claw of the eagle, sharp elsewhere. A couple of minor scuffs and scrapes in the fields from a higher technical grade, but with more than average eye appeal. Repunched 6 low with a trace of an extra loop on the base of that digit.
