Lot Description

1845-O Liberty Eagle. Winter-1, VP-003. 84/84. Repunched Date. AU-55 (NGC). Lustrous deep yellow gold with a satiny appearance, and with frosty mint bloom in the protected areas. A scattering of tiny ticks can't be avoided by the naked eye, and we note a small obverse rim bruise at 3 o'clock, otherwise the surfaces are pleasing all-around. Boldly repunched 84 in date. Sharply struck with plenty of deep design detail present.
