Lot Description

The brevity and conditionally challenged nature of the Type II gold dollar subseries is sure to result in keen bidder interest in this BU example. It is lustrous for the grade with a softly frosted texture and light olive-gold and pale apricot colors. Softly struck in the centers, as often seen for the type, but sharp to full toward the borders. Clash marks in the fields are as made, and also typical of the type; there are no sizeable or otherwise singularly mentionable marks.
