This is the SINGLE FINEST 1949 nickel graded in either designation. A beautiful SUPERB GEM example. Classic mint set toning graces both sides. Pastel rings of clover, pink, champagne, apricot, tangerine, and antique nickel silver swirl over highly lustrous surfaces. Generally well struck, just a touch of weakness on Monticello's steps; the rest of the façade is well struck. The eye appeal is incredible. PCGS 1, NGC 1. Unpriced in the PCGS Price Guide and MS67 examples that have sold are virtually of no use for pricing data. We expect a world record price to be set when this SUPERB example crosses the block. Cert.
