1788 New Jersey Copper. Maris 77-dd (DS1), W-5535. Rarity-3. Running Fox Before Legend. Fine-15 (PCGS). 153.4 grains. Glossy surfaces with pleasing medium brown and tan color. A few scratches and light rim bumps but overall very decent for the grade. All of the major detail is visible with weakness only at the left side legends. Most importantly, the curious and charming "running fox" detail is clear as can be. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier ex Monmouth Stamp & Coin, October 1992.
