Lot Description

Typical late die state for this Crosby number, the obverse with heavy rusting within the rays from 5:30 to 10 o'clock, crack arcing up to the right from the lower border at the letter N in NOVA, reverse cracked within the wreath above the date. The obverse is off center to 6 o'clock with the border engaging the tops of the letters in NOVA, reverse better centered, both sides bold throughout the design despite the presence of overall light wear. Handsome medium autumn and rose-brown patina and freedom from significant blemishes further confirm this as a superior Nova Constellatio copper at the EF grade level.
