Lot Description
The medium steel-gray surfaces enjoy lighter silver-gray high points and rich bursts of neon blue iridescence at the rims. A few faint reverse marks beneath UNUM are the only blemishes available to the unaided eye, and a loupe produces very little else in the way of marks. Remnants of the underlying 2 at the 5 in the denomination are still strong in this die combination. There is no shortage of eye appeal here! Hand-selected for its bold appearance, this half dollar -- from the first year of the design type – represents another grand opportunity for a mid-grade type coin enthusiast or half dollar aficionado to secure an attractive coin for their growing cabinet.
