1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Pine Tree Shilling. Small Planchet. Noe-30, Salmon 12-G, W-935. Rarity-3. VG-10 (PCGS). 68.06 grains. Deep golden-gray with steel highlights. Well-worn at the rims on both sides, just traces of IN MASAT visible on the obverse, beaded circle and tree complete at the center, reverse legend with ND AN DO the only legible portion, wear extends into the beaded circle at 10 o'clock, no serious contact marks seen on either side. An absolutely affordable filler example of one of America's most popular colonial issues.
