1880 Shield Nickel. AU-50 (PCGS). An important find for the Shield nickel enthusiast, this handsome AU coin hails from a paltry circulation strike mintage of 16,000 pieces. Well balanced with plenty of bold definition, both sides are also pleasingly toned in light silver-gray.
