1814 Classic Cent. S-294. Rarity-1. Crosslet 4. AU-55 BN (NGC). All Classic head large cents in high grade are desirable as so few are wholesome enough to earn a certified grade today. Most show corrosion or dark olive patina, and these surface issues are commonly found. Here is one with smooth copper surfaces, completely free of spots or specks and boasts a strong strike. Rarely encountered this well preserved, with the surfaces showing smooth but dark chocolate brown. Free of all but trivial signs of contact.
