1897 Liberty Head Eagle. MS-64+ (PCGS). Abundant satin luster mingles with rich rose-orange color on both sides of this smartly impressed example. Although the mintage for this issue was slightly north of a million pieces, survivors are decidedly scarce in Choice Mint State, and rare in Gem grades. Sure to appeal to astute gold collectors.
