Lot Description

Ex Allgood, as noted on the insert. A wonderful quality, near-GEM example of this common die marriage, graded just below the Overton-Parsley Condition Census, which is 66,66,65,65,65. Beautifully toned on both sides with splashes of teal-blue, champagne-gold, amber-rose, and slate blue patina splashed boldly across lustrous surfaces. The details are razor sharp, and the surfaces are very clean and free of serious contact. The strike is very sharp and the luster has a look that would remind the viewer that there is at least one Proof struck from this die pair (Ex Norweb, NGC PR63). The eye appeal is quite lovely.
