- Newcomb-2 uses the same overdated die as N-1, but at this stage, the under digit hardly shows. Moderately well struck with even, deep brown coloration on both sides, the surface seems unusually well preserved for a large-cent of this era. A handful of minor contact marks tend to gravitate to the obverse.
