Lot Description

A remarkable cartwheel effect is featured, and original surfaces give this Mint State 1879-CC dollar excellent visual appeal despite scattered abrasions and slight softness on obverse highpoints that limit the grade. The devices are heavily frosted, the fields are satiny. Some antique-golden toning is mentioned at the top of the obverse. The 1879-CC is a better date in the Carson City Morgan dollar short set. Housed in a first generation green label PCGS holder. (PCGS 7086)
