Lot Description

1869 Liberty Seated Dime. Proof-66 Cameo (NGC). Pastel teal and rose toning covers the obverse and reverse from long envelope or album storage. Watery reflective fields show careful preservation and the devices are pleasing for their textured contrast. Cameo examples are scarce, especially so well preserved as seen here. One of the finer 1869 Proof dimes known. PCGS# 84762. Provenance: From the Winecrest Collection. NGC Census: 8; 2 finer (PR-67 Cameo finest) within designation.
