Some deeper olive-charcoal color around the peripheries is associated with ancient surface scale that further confirms this coin's originality. Boldly to sharply defined overall with PQ surfaces that are sure to result in spirited bidding from discerning early copper enthusiasts. This is Maris' "Fallen 4" variety, the unusual positioning of the final two digits in the date also inspiring Chapman's "Raised 9" and Clapp's "Drunken Diecutter's Obverse" nicknames.
