Lot Description

1798 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. Large Eagle. B-24, BB-124. Rarity-2. Bowers Die State III. Pointed 9, Close Date. VF-30 (NGC). The NGC insert incorrectly attributes this coin as an example of the Pointed 9, Wide Date <em>Guide Book </em>variety. Medium gray fields with lighter silver devices on the obverse and reverse. Smooth wear and a scarcer variety in this middle to later die state. As usual the reverse stars are a trifle weak, but all are visible.
