1795 Washington Liberty and Security Halfpenny / Irish Halfpenny Mule. Baker-31M, W-11020. LONDON Edge. AU-58 (PCGS). 134.3 grains. A popular Conder token concoction made for English collectors of the era, designated Ireland, Dublin, D&H-9; also Breen-1266. Deep chestnut-tan surfaces exhibit even wear but no readily visible marks. The Irish halfpenny side is weaker in detail than the Liberty and Security side, as is often the case for this scarce mule variety. There is no mistaking the date of origin for this type, as 1795 is plainly exhibited on both sides. Choice for the grade at every turn.
