Lot Description

1881 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-66 (NGC). Smoky-gray, crimson, and cobalt-blue show mostly on the left side of the obverse; the colors are more abundant in distribution and a bit deeper in shade on the reverse. Both sides are equally sharp in strike with surfaces that readily uphold the Gem grade. PCGS# 6442. Provenance: From the Richard Jewell Collection. NGC Census: 24 in 66; 6 finer (PR-68 finest).
