Lot Description

OVERTON 110A. A gorgeous example of this tough R-4+ variety. Luster clings to the protected recesses of the design. Both sides are draped by a rich pastel iridescent teal, gold, blue, olive and russet tone. A very scarce variety that will draw much attention from specialized collectors. PCGS 62, NGC 41, CAC 8. This coin is from the Keith Davignon Collection, sold in a small mail bid sale in January 2014 for $4,780. It was purchased by another astute Bust half collector. Earlier, this coin was in the David Queller Collection of Half Dollars, a very famous sale in October 2002.
