Lot Description

Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-101, 1811/10 "dotted date". Here is a fantastic example of the popular "dotted date", replete with gorgeous honey-brown luster and a terrific strike. The periphery displays pleasing magenta-blue and violet accents while also boasting a very enticing strike. A handful of trivial planchet defects dash over the neck the balance showing an invigorating lack of noticeable marks. NGC failed to include attribution on the slab insert -- it doesn't even mention the dot in the date -- yet this specimen well deserves a premium bid.
