FROM THE AMG COLLECTION. The 1907 Proof mintage is one of the lowest in the entire Barber series, with just 575 coined. This is a beautifully and deeply toned GEM with multicolored patina that comes to life when the light hits the bold, flashy mirrors. PCGS 28, NGC 25, CAC 8. The last time a PCGS/CAC example sold was two and a half years ago, when we hammered one at $1,150 in our March 2017 Premier Session auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $1,350. PCGS has graded fewer than 20 higher in the designation. Imagine being able to put together a set of 100+ year old GEMS with such low mintages for so little money! What a great project. Cert.
