Lot Description
A Condition Census O-103, an easily identifiable die pair thanks to the broken A and E letter punches on the reverse. For the DATE, regardless of variety, PCGS has graded a mere half dozen examples finer, only three of which have ever garnered CAC approval. Finer than the Byers-Link MS64 we sold over half a decade ago, this coin has a bold and brilliantly satiny mint frost that glows vividly on both sides. The devices are razor sharp and crisp throughout. Delicate antique silver melds with pale russet-gold, soft olive-tan, and the faintest sky blue tinged dove gray. The eye appeal is amazing, and in the time before 3rd party grading we can easily see this VERY CHOICE Mint State piece called a full GEM! PCGS 30, NGC 25, CAC 9. This is the ONLY MS64+ graded at PCGS. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $8,500 and recent auction comps are $10,800 for the Col. Green-Eric Newman-Richard Jewell NGC MS64* CAC in March 2021 and the Link-Friend-Chicago PCGS MS65 at $12,338. Conditionally very rare, this is an important opportunity for the advanced type or date collector! Good luck. Cert. Number 42632822 PCGS # 6128
