1820/19 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-102. Rarity-1. Curl Base 2. AU-50 (NGC). O-102 is a dramatic overdate of the 1820-dated Half Dollar delivery, there being a near-fully formed 9 underdigit within the loop of the 0 in the date. A base of dove-gray patina blankets both sides of the present example, the reverse in particular also displaying mottled olive-charcoal overtones. With a bold-to-sharp strike and no abrasions of note, this lightly circulated survivor would fit nicely into an advanced Bust Half Dollar set.
