- Bold Mid-Grade Bar Copper Undated (ca. 1785) Bar Copper. W-8520. Rarity-4. VF-30 (PCGS). OGH. A second highly appealing circulated example of this classic early American type. Richly original surfaces are toned in a blend of golden-brown and steely-copper, the obverse a tad lighter than the reverse. The simple design is boldly rendered and fully appreciable here, the surfaces microscopically rough with wispy handling marks, yet free of individually mentionable blemishes.
