Undated (1815-1820) Washington Double-Head Cent. Baker-6, W-11200. Rarity-1. Plain Edge. AU-58 (PCGS). 129.63 grains. A sharp and appealing deep golden-tan specimen with lively chestnut-red highlights. The strike is sharp and the coin is from an early die state with circular lathe marks still present throughout the peripheral details on both sides; these soft lines probably disappeared from the dies soon after production began for the type. A few tiny marks, negligible in size, come to light under low magnification, but the naked eye appeal is ample to the task of the assigned grade. Choice throughout.
