Lot Description

Glossy medium brown surfaces retain bold outline detail to all major design elements except for the denomination ONE CENT in the center of the reverse, which is virtually illegible. The in-hand appearance is quite smooth apart from a couple of obverse digs within Liberty's hair; a loupe is required to discern minor roughness to the texture on both sides. As a one year design type from the earliest years of U.S. Mint operations, the 1793 Wreath cent enjoys strong collector demand in all grades.
