1787 Fugio Copper. Pointed Rays. Newman 18-H, W-6950. Rarity-5. UNITED STATES, 4 Cinquefoils. VF-20 (PCGS). 138.6 grains. A scarce variety combining two well used dies, both with evidence of their extended use in the form die cracks, clash marks, and die sinking. This piece offers good quality and eye appeal compared to most. Smooth chocolate brown surfaces with a few minor planchet flaws, but no significant marks. A find for the specialist.
