Lot Description

This pretty piece retains much of the original luster in a bright frosty to modestly semi-reflective finish. Attractively toned, as well, we note halos of reddish-russet and steely-blue peripheral iridescence around generally brilliant centers. Boldly to sharply defined from a nicely centered, well executed strike. The BB-234 features the most widely spaced date of any 1802/1Bust dollar variety. It is easily attributed by a round die lump below star 8 and is seldom found finer than VF. BB Die State III.
