Lot Description

1811 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-109. Rarity-2. Small 8. AU-55 (PCGS). A heavy reverse die break from the rim along the first S in STATES, extends through the scroll and the field onto the eagle's left (facing) wing. A somewhat murky blend of mottled patina occurs across each side. Considerable mint luster remains evident however, in the protected regions, and the surfaces are quite clean, giving this piece a very decent level of overall eye appeal.
