Handsome Superb Gem Type I 1913-S Buffalo Nickel 1913-S Buffalo Nickel. Type I. MS-67+ (PCGS). Beautiful toning in lemon gold, ice blue and silver-rose iridescence greets the viewer from both sides. Soft satin luster, smooth surfaces and a sharply executed strike complete the package for this truly impressive piece. The 1913-S is the scarcest of the three circulation strike Buffalo nickels of the Type I design and in Superb Gem Mint State, as here, the issue is rare and seldom offered in today's market.
