Lot Description

Deep olive-brown patina evenly blankets both sides with tinges of lighter faded rose color evident in a few isolated areas. There is scant denticulation at upper right obverse, lower right reverse, but the strike is well centered and other areas show bold definition for the assigned grade. Some underlying glossiness points to an old, light cleaning, although there are no significant marks. A suitable mid-grade type candidate from this challenging early copper series. Manley Die State 4.0.
