Lot Description
Here is an AMAZING and incredibly IMPORTANT near-GEM 1922 No D. Any example at this numeric grade level, regardless of color designation is EXTREMELY RARE. High end everything! The quality is all there and then some! The surfaces are ultra clean and overall are totally blemish, spot, and problem free. Even with a strong glass there are no issues. A strong glossy luster shows off GEM even and totally original chocolate brown colors. There is faded original Mint Red in thin bands around the devices. Lincoln and all the details are well struck. The eye appeal is exceptional! PCGS 4, NGC 1, CAC 2. This is the most recent example to sell in auction, realizing $38,775 in our December 2016 Regency Auction. There is just a single CAC MS65 BN graded finer, which sold for $82,250 in April 2013. This impressive example is bound for a fantastic Lincoln cent set! Good luck! Cert. Number 25649341 PCGS # 3285
