1722/1-H French Colonies Sou, or 9 Deniers. La Rochelle Mint. W-11835. Fine-12 BN (NGC). Medium golden-tan surfaces. Obverse struck nominally off-center, the rim through C and F of the legend. Scattered obverse marks present, including a patch of black detritus at ES and another at the date, reverse also off-center, here dramatically to the viewer's left with just the bottom of the legend on the planchet in that area. Some faint old scratches are seen near the viewer's left side of the crown.
