The 1864 is a scarce, key date silver three-cent issue with just 12,000 circulation strikes produced. It is represented here by a richly original charcoal-olive example that readily reveals frosty mint luster and vivid undertones of champagne-gold and powder blue as the surfaces dip into a light.
